Grenache Mourvedre Shiraz by Mont Redon of Rhone. A very well structured palate with firm tannin support completed by an outstanding aromatic complexity of red fruits. An assemblage of fruit, picked off vines near the village of Roquemaure on the right bank of the Rhone, between Orange and Avignon. Essentially a Châteauneuf du Pape Domaine with a hundred acres under vine, Mont Redon acquired quality vineyards in Côtes du Rhône thirty years ago to create approachable wines with the structure and potential for development. Fat and round mouthfeel with a long and savoury, spicy finish.
