A solid Cabernet Sauvignon with profound structure and vigorous fruit, the essential Coonawarra style, exuding rich bramble, berries and cassis aromas characters over soft, elegant tannins. Extended maturation in the finest French oak contributes to the wine's overall balance and drinkability. Hollick»
Excellent Langtons Classification. The legend continues for the stately Katnook of Coonawarra. Katnook»
The five most most exclusive parcels of old vine Shiraz, a secret component of the Barossa's most memorable vintages, hand picked off the De Fazio and Hillview vineyards at Belvidere and Moppa. Batches are crushed into traditional open top fermenters for a week of pumpovers, gently pressed into an extravagantly high proportion of new French oak hogsheads for two years maturation, followed by the final assemblage, unfiltered and unfined. Pirathon»
Elderton Cabernet was winner of the prestigious Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy in 1993, the following years it claimed back to back Gold and Trophy at the Barossa Wine Show. The 1994 vintage gave Elderton its first international Gold medal in London, an unbroken tradition of remarkable vintages have embossed the Elderton Estate name as a national champion, being chosen by Qantas for service in first class. Elderton»
A wine of pure Barossa fruit by a master who loves Shiraz and is devoted to the valley he calls home. Grant Burge has been awarded every major trophy and medal in Australia, including the Montgomery, Stodart, Brisbane Club and Jimmy Watson. Grant Burge»
Lenton Brae can justifiably claim to be one of Margaret River's leading proponents of the ebullient fusion between Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, having claimed multi trophies and gold medals for the style at regional, state and national competitions. The site was chosen after a chance conversation with the owner of Moss Wood who mentioned that the soils were uniformly excellent and equal to those of the eminent vineyard nearby. Lenton Brae»
Sourced from Neil Steven's Glenoak property at Pokolbin, a scenically undulating site that's planted to a combination of light sand and red clay soils, widely regarded as one of the finest white wine vineyards in Hunter Valley. The oldest block was established circa 1911, the youngest plantings date back to 1965. Tyrrells»
Tim Knappstein began his apprenticeship under the family owned Stanley Wine Company. Within a decade, Tim had won more than 500 show awards, gold medals and trophies for the premium Leasingham range. Riposte»
Vintaged from a single block of magnificent old vines on the cooler climes of Eden Valley high. Heirloom are all about identifying and rejuvenating superior parcels, a patient and painstaking approach to the resurrection of venerable elder plantings, for the realization of profoundly structured, powerful yet elegant wines. Heirloom»
Gold Medal Winner at the highly prestigious London International Wine Challenge! The taste is very sweet, smooth, pronounced and delicous, just like dried raisins or rich tawny grape juice. Serve at cool room temperature with fine desserts, pastries and cake, pour liberally over the best quality ice creams. Lustau»
Richard Bailey planted one of the first Glenrowan vineyards in the 1860s. The Bailey estate survived the downturn of the Victorian gold rush, the ravages of phylloxera and excesses of the Kelly gang, it endures to this day, producing some of the nation's most intensely flavoured and historically significant wines. Baileys Glenrowan»
There are two superb high altitude sites in Carey Gully and Piccadilly Valley, which yield an extraordinary quality of Sauvignon Blanc. Knappstein take the top cut of each harvest, crushing the fruit for a long cool vinification, treating a batch to the added richness of oak barrel ferments for texture, complexity and weight. The success of Mollydooker has been built on a pursuit of passion, working from the heart and never placing profit before the sanctity of great wine

Sparky Marquis was a successful professional photographer when dad lined up his five kids and told them that if any of them were prepared to learn winemaking or viticulture they would inherit his award winning vineyard and winery. The Langtons listed Fox Creek. Sparky remembered how much he liked drinking wine and stepped forward. Sparky and lovely young wife Sarah went to work, built a new winery and introduced their Vineyard Watering Programme, achieving exceptional quality fruit, devoting long hours to perfecting their winemaking.

Sparky and Sarah were successful and super busy, happily working together with son Luke, sleeping in bassinet among the vines. They created a virtual winery by helping their grower friends to grow exceptional quality grapes with the Marquis Vineyard Watering Programme. Then they made wines from those grapes in the back of their winemaker friends wineries. They were enormously successful. In 1999 they became Australian Winemakers of the Year. In 2002 they won the Bushing Award for a record breaking third time and in the USA Robert Parker commented The greatest red wine values in existence. Run, don't walk and secure as much as you can of these wines!

The Marquis Philips brand was a runaway success, growing from 8000 to 120,000 cases in four years. There was talk of growing bigger still. Then one day, Sarah and Sparky took stock and decided that it was not the life they wanted to lead. They love the vineyards, love making wine, and love sharing with friends. They didn't want to become corporate, they decided to go it alone and stay small and hands on.

Sparky Marquis loves his vines, and for the three months before harvest you will find him sitting under the gum trees with the viticulture team, squashing the grapes and tasting the juices, to work out how much water should be put on the vines in the next half week, and when the grapes should be picked.

In 2006 they named their new brand Mollydooker, Aussie for left hander, because they are both left handed. Three months later, The Wine Advocate chose The Boxer as the Best Value Red Wine in the World, the Two Left Feet as the second, and the Maitre D as the fourth. The Violinist was chosen the Best Value White Wine in the world. The wines sold out in nineteen days, and all Mollydooker's debts were paid off. A mere eighteen months after being down to their last $17, Sarah and Sparky were able to buy a beautiful winery with stunning views, 114 acres of vineyards along the magic Seaview Ridge in McLaren Vale, home of most of the most iconic McLaren Vale wines.

Mollydooker never take shortcuts or compromise on quality. They guarantee the quality of their wine by rating it on its Marquis Fruit Weight, the measure of how far back on your tongue the velvety sensation of fruit goes, before the prickly sensation of tannin is exposed. If they don't have parcels which qualify at the required Fruit Weight, they don't bottle wine behind the Mollydooker label. Sarah and Sparky have never forgotten their roots, they fund three Mollydooker Houses in Cambodia which provide education for 300 children and food for families. They also support Chester County Futures and mentoring for underprivileged children, Mercy Ministries and The Hutt Street Centre in Australia, which is a safe place of hope, warmth and belonging, for the homeless and vulnerable people in the inner city of Adelaide. Sarah and Sparky do a lot of partying, so look out for Mollydooker nights in your town!
