The Senses range are all about capturing the concentration and complexity which can be achieved through barrel ferments and extended maturation. Think west coast Fumé Blanc, the fruit of Margaret River's most opportune vineyards, treated to the indulence of vinification in fine French oak, for a meaty, savoury style of Sauvignon Blanc. Watershed»
Bleasdale are Australia's second oldest family owned winery, established 1850 by English migrant Frank Potts. Potts built much of Adelaide's early colonial works before settling down to his homestead at Langhorne Creek. Bleasdale»
The generously proportioned, big boned, leesy French oak genre, Dijon Bernard Clones 76 and 95, harvested off fully mature vines, thirty years of age at Charleston in the Adelaide Hills. Grapes are destemmed and pressed for vinification on gross solids before transfer to French oak hogsheads for completion of ferments, in the old world way. Cape Barren»
Originally released in 1976, the Koonunga Hill range has established a sound reputation for quality and consistency, while availing red wine enthusiasts of the opportunity to approach the enduring Penfolds style. The inaugural 1976 vintage of Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet was a legendary wine, still drinking well at Penfolds red wine recorking clinics. Penfolds»
An exclusively Strathbogie Ranges Shiraz, most of the grapes come from Rocky Hill Block at Whitegate, with a further component from Block 6 at Upton Run. The magic of this wine evolves while ageing in a collection of very old, large English oak casks. Fowles»

Samuel Smith & Son is a well respected, family owned wine merchant established in 1923, with a portfolio of eminent blue chip wineries

Samuel Smith & Son's commitment to be recognised as the most respected purveyor of fine wines remains unequivocal and absolute. Smith & Hooper wines are sourced entirely from two Wrattonbully vineyards, adjacent vineyard blocks previously owned by the Smith and Hooper families. These are premium red wines from exceptional vineyard sites with Terra Rossa soil, a rich, free draining soil that is considered by many as the viticultural equivalent of discovering gold

"Like many SA companies, Yalumba had been buying grapes from Coonawarra and elsewhere in the Limestone Coast Zone long before it became a landowner there. In 1993 it purchased the 20-ha vineyard which had provided the grapes previously purchased, and a year later added a nearby 16-ha block. Together, these vineyards now have 22 ha of cabernet sauvignon and 4 ha each of merlot and shiraz. The next step was the establishment of 82 ha of vineyard in the Wrattonbully region, led by 34 ha of cabernet sauvignon, the remainder equally split between shiraz and merlot!" -Wine Companion.com.au
